Jasmine Mireshghi, a junior at Lynbrook High School is the Silicon Valley president this year, and a third year DECA member. She is looking forward to a great year of DECA. She has attended several DECA conferences, placing in the regional and state level. But DECA is not the only activity she is involved in. Jasmine is also a part of the Epic, Lynbrook's student-run newspaper. During her free time, she enjoys staying active doing things like running, hiking, or playing soccer with friends. She also loves watching scary movies with friends, even though they absolutely terrify her! Throughout the year, Jasmine never misses her favorite shows Grey's Anatomy and Gossip Girl because no television shows can be more amazing. And most importantly, one of her favorite hobbies surprisingly is to eat. She love trying new foods and is obsessed with Indian food and Italian food. Her love for international foods comes from her interest in different cultures. Jasmine has been taking Mandarin Chinese at school for three years, embracing the true culture of her school campus. So she is excited to take these interests and bring forth something new and positive to Silicon Valley DECA this year. Contact Jasmine at jasmine.mireshghi@svdeca.org

BUT OTHER THAN THAT, she likes piano, church, volunteering with kids, scheming, going online, and hanging out with buds :). She's also a fan of classical (romantic) music and general instrumentals, but recently she has been listening to modern music. Frances absolutely loves Red Mango, and dislikes Yogurtland. Niveditha Jayesekar
Vice President of Civic Consciousness
Niveditha Jayasekar is a rising sophomore at Monta Vista High School. Since her whole name is really too long and hard to pronounce, she prefers it when people call her Nivi. With two years of DECA experience, she is eager to continue making more memorable DECA experiences. She is excited to finally become an upperclassmen starting this August, but is less than excited about the reportedly "scary" and "tough" junior year. If you enjoy playing tennis, reading fantasy books, or listening to music, she's your girl! But, be warned, although she knows plenty of international songs ranging from Greek to Korean to Hindi, she doesn't know many English songs. However, don't let that stop you. Nivi is really easy to get to know and she loves spending time with her new DECA friends! Contact Nivi at niveditha.jayasekar@svdeca.org.
